November 2024 Newsletter

I want to share with you how thankful I am for all your hard work through these hard times. You have been demonstrating a patience and dedication for serving each other and our customers, even the ones that were “not-so-nice” as they struggled through their particular situation. You took the time to understand their justified reason to be upset, even if they ended up taking it out on you. You rose to the challenge as a company, caring for others, and I am humbled by what I’ve seen and heard. Thank you!

I’m thankful for other things, too, like the hurricane getting knocked down from a category 5 to a 3 before it hit us. I’m thankful we have work, and that the phones keep ringing every day. There was no guarantee that they would after a devastating storm like that, but we’ve been able to keep filling our job board, and then some, enabling us to serve a record number of people who have been devastated by the storm because of your sheer tenacity and perseverance. Again, thank you!

I truly am grateful, overwhelmed by the goodness of God. He is the source of our ultimate grace and mercy that we so desperately need, and it is in seasons like this that we are reminded of our need. In fact, when I choose to remember how good God is to me, it helps open my eyes, and my heart, to be more thankful for others and how good they are. So know that I am thankful for God’s goodness, which helps me have greater clarity on my thankfulness for you, and the goodness you have shown.

Invest In The Eternal

Together We Can, the non-profit that is largely supported by Tri County Air, is asking for donations of new or gently used jackets, sweaters, hats, gloves, scarves, blankets, and sleeping bags for men, women, and children in need. You can help by dropping off your donation on:

No need to park—just drive through and our volunteers from Her Hands His Heart, One Christ Won City, & Together We Can will collect your donation. These items will be sorted and delivered immediately to a number of local ministries, ensuring they are keeping someone warm as the colder weather hits us. Thanks for your help!

WE’VE COMPLETED THREE WELLS! This is a pretty big deal, especially for the villages in Chad, Africa, where their lives have been dramatically impacted by the funding they’ve received from the campaigns we’ve participated in as a company. We give a proportional amount each month according to the number of service, maintenance, and install jobs we do. Scroll through the slideshow above to see pictures, but also to get information on that particular well.

Now we get to lean in towards the next well for the next village, comforting even more people in life-saving and transformational ways. Thanks for everyone playing your part in making a difference! If you want to contribute above what we already give, or simply want to track how we are doing towards our 4th well over the next few months, you can do so by clicking here!

You know the children’s game, where they pick out an object and give descriptions like a color, shape, texture, and other features to see if someone can guess what it is? I felt like that over the past month, I kept seeing things that had me thinking of our values. You know them: Caring, Honesty, Respect, Invest In The Eternal, Service Excellence, and Teamwork. And I saw them in countless ways as we came through the hurricane:

  • Calling or texting each other to see if a fellow employee needed anything
  • Putting up shutters for someone else who was out of town
  • Providing information on how to get resources for those who needed it
  • Providing generators to people who had no power
  • Sharing honestly what was needed, and, what wasn’t needed
  • Helping others with work tasks outside of their normal team’s responsibilities
  • Sharing power with neighbors who didn’t have any
  • Providing water and gas and food and shelter
  • Managers continually checking in on their teams
  • Pulling together to prep the company building to minimize damage, and others showing up to prepare it for use again
  • Showing back up to work ASAP to care for countless customers
  • Jumping in for “The 6-Week Push” to meet customers’ needs
  • Patiently helping anxious and demanding customers
  • Verbally thanking and appreciating each other for serving
  • Courageously balancing work and home life to both care for and provide for the family

And the list goes on and on. But do you see as you read over that list how it describes the Company Values I mentioned above? And it wasn’t merely a children’s game, either. It was a serious, significant situation we were all thrown into, and yet we could still see these beautiful displays that were needed more than ever. But if it was a game, you would win it by simply saying the corresponding value to the action you were observing. So, next time we’re in a situation like that, maybe remember the “I Spy . . .” Game, and let people know what you see in them. I saw it in you!
