What’s been on my mind lately has been the preciousness of life, especially with Lolly going through chemo, along with the heartbreaking passing of some loved ones connected to our Tri County family. We really don’t know how many days, weeks, or years we have with those who hold special places in our lives, and it has been sobering to be reminded of how suddenly everything can change. The things or activities I think are so important one day, are put back in their proper place when I face the reality of losing someone dear to me, or seeing someone I care about experience that loss.
Life is not about things. Life is about people.
It makes me want to repair any relational disputes I may have with someone. There’s a verse in the Bible that challenges us that in as much as it is up to us, we are to be at peace with others. I don’t want to have any regrets about not saying things I should have said before its too late. I want to tell people I love them more, and show them I love them in the way I treat them. I don’t want there to be any doubt in their mind that they are loved. And when I’m living that way, I’ll be celebrating their lives, I’ll be enjoying mine, and if either of our lives come to a sudden end, at least I’ll have done my part to finish well.
Oh, and in case you didn’t already know it, I love you, and think the world of you!

Danielle Dettman’s mom Donna has invited us to join with the Senior Friendship Center’s team for the Walk To End Alzheimer’s on Saturday, November 15th at 8:30am at Nathan Benderson Park in Sarasota. You can partner by either walking, or donating, or both. Click Here To Join The Team! Barbie’s mom suffered with this terrible disease, so she’s already signed up and raring to go to honor her. Please play a part and help the Alzheimer’s Association bring an end to this sickness that has robbed so many families of their loved ones’ later years in life.
Invest In The Eternal

We finished funding our 5th well/tap stand in Chad, Africa, and are already well on our way towards our 6th one! We give proportionate to the number of installs, maintenance, and service calls we do each month, so every time we order a part, collect an invoice, schedule an appointment, sell a job, ride to another job site, or keep others moving forward with their role in serving our customers, we contribute to the goal. Each tap stand serves a remote community with fresh, running water in their village, instead of them having to send the girls or women on round trips carrying heavy containers of polluted water back to the village. Our contribution has made a difference for 5 villages with hundreds of people in each one. Thanks for all you do. To follow along, or contribute more, go to the link at neverthirst.

We get to celebrate some very special people through their birthday and work anniversaries. Give these people affirmation and encouragement as they mark these special milestones.

From The Hart
Countless studies have been conducted on the power of being thankful. It can lower your stress, increase your happiness, strengthen relationships, and reduce anxiety. It has the ability to draw you out of depression, curb materialism and spending, increase your health, and help you sleep better. It lowers blood pressure, builds the immune system, and makes you more likely to build stronger friendships with those around you. All by simply being thankful.
We’ve arrived at that time of year again where we are supposed to be thankful. But what if we leaned in towards the people around us, the situations we’re in, and started to name the things that we can genuinely be thankful for. Like, what if we started to specifically name them. Imagine the impact it could have on us, and those around us, if even half of those things mentioned in the paragraph above were the result of choosing thankfulness over complaining, gratefulness over entitlement, and appreciation over agonizing.
We’ve created a space in the Kitchen to do just that. There is a roll of butcher paper on the wall along with some markers for you to write down some of the things you’re thankful for. Do it by yourself, or invite others from your team to go with you, and add to the list. Be specific. Name names, write a sentence about it if you want, but participate in filling up the sheet with things you’re thankful for. And once you write it up there, you might be inspired to call the person you are thankful for, or the person whose responsible for the possession you’re thankful for, and brighten their day with a personal thank you.
It might sound corny, but maybe, just maybe, it’s the kind of corny that can cause a reset in our thinking. Or our health. Or our relationships. It’ll be the kind of thing that keeps on giving, because it’s contagious, and maybe it’ll spur others around you to be more thankful too. And wouldn’t that be nice to be surrounded by thankful people? Keep adding to the sheet throughout the month as you remember more things to be thankful for. And if we fill it up? We’ll get more paper! See you at the wall.
