Billy Blurb

A couple months ago in the blurb I talked about the highs and lows we experience in life, and how the highs help you navigate the lows.
Lolly and I are experiencing one of those lows right now as she was diagnosed with cancer. The low has been discovering her diagnosis, going through so many tests and retests to find out how much was there, how advanced the cancer was, and then determining what the next best steps would be for her, chemo or radiation, or both, or nothing, getting second opinions, and thirds, getting good news followed up by bad news.
By the time we finally got the treatment plan established (an 18-week aggressive chemo plan) we had been brought to the low point in all of this. Some grieving, fearing the worse case scenarios, and sharing it with our family and friends. Thankfully, the type of lymphoma she has responds very well to the chemo treatment she is receiving.
Now having started the plan, what has become a blessing for both Lolly and I is the love and support that we receive from our family and the community that we have built over the years. It is difficult to stay discouraged when we are being so loved on and cared for, prayed for, and supported. Obviously, Lolly is having some really hard days during the treatment, but the love and care of the family and community has made all the difference in getting through it successfully.
This all leads me to ask you, what is your community? I cannot stress enough the importance of having community around you. Ours has been largely grounded in faith. But I would hope that one of your communities would be the one here at work, your team, your leaders, and others you encounter here at Tri County. When you hit those valleys, I hope you will experience that they are there to lift you up. I encourage you to be cultivating healthy relationships with each other now, before ever hitting a valley, so you can enjoy the benefit of them when its needed most.

PTO is used for rest, family time, or personal development, and we believe this time is extremely important. Because of that, we have made some major upgrades to our Paid Time Off (PTO) policy. We are excited to respond to your requests, as well as have the chance to live out one of our values by caring for our team better and by doing so, helping you to care for yourselves too!
CLICK HERE to find a detailed explanation of the new updated PTO plan, and it is also outlined by Billy in the video below. Our competitive holiday pay and birthday pay will remain the same.
We are working with Paycor to ensure your account reflects these updates correctly. You’ll begin to see changes to your accrual rate and carryover limits soon. We are hoping to have the system built, implemented and reflected in your paycheck dated July 11, 2025.
Questions? Reach out to Victoria any time — she’s happy to walk you through the changes!
Invest In The Eternal
We are over $15k into funding our next well in Chad, Africa, which comes out of every service, maintenance, and install job we do. It takes all of us, and I mean ALL OF US doing our part in comforting people here, so we can comfort people over there in a much more significant way that literally is a matter of life and death. What you do matters to hundreds of people every time we install another well, so remember that on your text task, call, job, or procedure. It makes a difference!
Here is a short video update from NeverThirst’s ambassador on the ground from one of the wells we’ve already installed.

With a RECORD-SETTING 180,188 votes in the 2025 BEST OF SRQ LOCAL COMPETITION, SRQ Magazine readers celebrated their hometown favorites in this year’s Best of SRQ Local competition despite the delayed start due to our uninvited guests Milton and Helene. And then again, we hear it all the time from our customers, the ones who are compelled to tell others about their experience, which the following section reminds us of all the time.

Fight Club is a 10-week journey where men are required to complete weekly challenges within the context of community and accountability. A 3-strike rule applies to all challenges. These challenges change weekly and cover spiritual, relational, and physical assignments, along with Scripture memory and many opportunities to try something new, sometimes intimidating, a sometimes just-for-fun. The next one starts on August 15th. CLICK HERE to find out more and to register. Reach out to Ryan Stallings to get an inside scoop on how it works and how it could help you grow.
Pics From Around

Who’s Who?
Take a stroll (quietly) through the new Scheduling/IT/Processing wing and identify whose desk belongs to who, write down the numbers and the names, and turn it in to Comfort Care for a chance to be the winner of a drawing for a free lunch. If you don’t know the person, they may not know you either, so introduce yourself to them (if they’re not on the phone). These are awesome people who sit at these desks, so thank them while you’re there. The drawing will be on July 29th, but don’t delay in turning in your answers. You must be correct in your guesses to be included in the drawing!

From The Hart

I recently heard a comparison of a Tyrannosaurus Rex and God, and it was both humorous and convicting, because I am guilty too often of unintentionally holding this perception of God. You know the T-Rex, the fearsome dinosaur with a mighty mouth that can rip it’s prey apart with a single bite, knock over trees with it’s tail, and chase you down regardless of what evasive maneuvers you might try. The thing that stands out in stark contrast to it’s overall physic are these two relatively tiny arms with clutching claws that seem inconsequential compared to everything else. It was this image that someone suggested that we may have of God, that He is powerful and strong, fearsome even, but that we really don’t think much of His arms and His capacity to act on our behalf with them. And that maybe our view of Him is that eventually He just gets really impatient with our mess ups and failures, and just bites our heads off when He’s had enough.
And yet one of God’s messengers said in the midst of one of his declarations of the sad state of affairs of the people of God, that “Surely the arm of the Lord is not too short to save, nor his ear too dull to hear.” The following chapters behind this statement by Isaiah declare the restoration, the life, the blessing that He desires to bring into the lives of the people who trust Him. He’s not waiting to bite our heads off. No, He’s reaching His arms out to us to strengthen us, to protect us, to heal us, and to comfort us, to actually draw us back to Himself away from our self-destructive paths. And when we finally realize that, we stop fearing God as if He’s just some destructive force of energy, but see Him as the loving Father that He is, and that makes all the difference.
One of the challenges for me in seeing God as a loving Father instead of T-Rex is that my real dad probably resembled the latter more than the former. He was controlling, proud, critical, abusive, and fear-inducing to my mom and my brothers. He left more of a path of destruction in us than blessing, which impacted my earliest view of what my Heavenly Father must have been like. Those formative years needed a reset to who He really is, and I’m thankful for the healing and repair that happened through the influence of godly men who simply loved me, honored me, and invited me into a better, truer understanding of who God is.
I invite you to consider how you might view God, as a T-Rex, or a Loving Father, or perhaps something else altogether. If any of you men want someone to join you in the process of repairing a potentially ruptured view of Him, I’m available to join you on that journey of discovery, and I know Barbie is available to walk with any ladies that may want to lean in towards this as well. Reach out to us, and what we might just discover is that His arms are not too short to save.
