Blowouts and Bee Stings!!

I’ve had both of these things happen to me recently, and I have to say that both were quite the inconvenience. They disrupted my plans, and I confess that my initial responses were viewing them as unwanted interruptions. And who wouldn’t? Nobody hopes for these as they start their day.

And while I won’t go into the full stories here (feel free to ask me, though) both events became part of a bigger story. One was instrumental in averting an even bigger disaster, and the other assisted in creating significant and heartfelt conversations that will be remembered for a lifetime.

What I looked at as a bother actually became a blessing.

It reminded me of that poem about the underside of a tapestry. Everything on the top looks beautiful, picturesque, and orderly, and it is quite pleasant to look at. Flip it over though, and everything on the bottom is messy, chaotic, and in seeming disarray. This is the hidden side, the side that goes on the floor that nobody sees, or even cares to see. And yet you can’t have one side without the other.

I think that’s a lot like life. We want the frontside, for everything to be smooth and finished, to happen orderly and make sense with no surprises. But most of life is actually lived on the backside, with knots and unfinished loops, a mess that is often frustrating and confusing. It all serves a purpose, even if we don’t see it. And that requires trust in the bigger picture, even if we don’t get it, or even agree with it all.

My hope for you and me is that we keep growing in our ability to trust that God is at work, even in the blowouts and bee stings, and is making something beautiful, even if we can’t quite see it yet.

Invest In The Eternal

We are almost completely funded for our 6th African village in Chad to recieve fresh, clean water directly into their community instead of having to walk for hours each day for less than sanitary sources. This helps the women and girls who typically are tasked with this responsibility be freed up to gain an education and develop skills that will help them break the poverty cycle. Every single install and service call where we provide air conditioning comfort to our customers enables us to provide a life-changing “comfort” to those who desperately need it. What we do on a daily basis may not seem all that crucial all the time, but it is certainly altering the trajectory of whole villages in one of the poorest places on earth through our partnership with NeverThirst. Thank You!!

Q1 Mission Moment Recognition

Each quarter we recognize two employees for displaying our values in ways that have been identified by their peers and/or managers for going above and beyond the regular and expected demonstration on a daily basis. Sheila Anderson from the office, and Jose Tavarez from the field gave us great pictures of Caring and Teamwork. They both get $100 Amazon gift cards, and are put in the running for a $500 cash prize at the Annual meeting along with the other Quarterly winners. Brantley Moore’s wife Jennifer is living out her passion to minister to those who are on the front lines in some pretty challenging environments, and Victoria’s husband Jacques is using his gifts and talents to keep everybody connected and communicating effectively. Chase recently made the great choice in his pursuit of his girl Cass by putting a ring on that finger. Congratulations Chase!

Austin Drake was recently promoted to a Field Lead in Service. But he sent proof that getting into that position does not mean he’s not willing to crawl into tight spaces in attics to get the job done. Congratulations Austin!

A Tool That Has Blessed Our Family

At Tri County Air, we often talk about comfort—not just in your home, but in your peace of mind.

I wanted to share something that has been a real blessing to my family.

My wife, Jenica, and I have two boys, Jaden (15) and Paxton (13). Like many families, we enjoy watching movies and shows together, but it has become harder to find content that aligns with our values.

Recently, we started using VidAngel, and it has made a big difference. It allows families to filter out unwanted content—such as language, violence, or sexual material—so you can watch with greater confidence and peace.

Another feature we really appreciate is the ability to create individual profiles for each family member. This allows you to tailor content settings based on age or personal preferences, giving each person a viewing experience that fits what you’re comfortable with.

What we appreciate most overall is the control it gives each family to choose what fits their standards. For us, it has made family movie nights enjoyable again.

Because this has helped our family, I wanted to share it with our Tri County Air team. We know many of you are raising families or simply want to be more intentional about what you watch.
